Now that you have your first paying customers, you need to deliver on your promises. There are 2 options here. You can hire employees or you can hire subcontractors.
When first starting your business, it’s a lot easier and less risky to hire subcontractors. Once you grow as a business, you can choose which route your prefer.
With subcontractors, you don’t need to buy all the equipment, you can agree on a set price ahead of time to guarantee your profit margin, you don’t need to manage the material budget, and most importantly, you don’t need to ensure they have consistent work (like you do with employees).
It takes a lot of burden off of you if you opt for subcontractors instead of employees. In this video, we do a rundown on how to get your first job produced.
