could you have used a tinted primer to help with base coat coverage Lighthouse of color and some of them suggest or would this have thrown off your matching ability to trying to match the factory color?

How many coats of base paint u do and how many clear coat to do
Not a painter but you should walk the full length of the car when you do the sides because the paint will not be uniform thickness.
